Here you will find a detailed overview of my graphic design and web development process. Smart designers will be able to guide you through a project with ease, meeting deadlines, and coming in on budget... with no surprises! I have extensive project management experience with small businesses and nonprofits.

Graphic Design Process

PHASE 1: Consultation
Meeting to review project goals, schedule and tasks. Gather existing materials for project (ie, fonts, logos, graphics, content).

PHASE 2: The Proposal
Verifies project goals, outlines costs, provides a rough schedule, discusses copyright issues, and approval process.

PHASE 3: Contract
Client signs contract and work begins!

PHASE 4: Project Launch Meeting
Meeting to review project goals, schedule and tasks. Gather existing materials for project (ie, fonts, logos, graphics, content).

PHASE 5: Content
Content finalized

PHASE 6: Photography/Graphics
Photography shot on location (if needed)
Stock photography and/or graphics acquired for the design of the site

PHASE 7: Design & Budgeting
Design directions provided to the Client in PDF format (cover, interior page)
Quotes obtained from various printers based on proposed designs.

PHASE 8: Prepress
Pieces submitted to printer

PHASE 9: Proofing
Client reviews & signs off on final proofs

PHASE 10: Delivery
Final pieces delivered to client

Web Design Workflow

PHASE 1: Consultation
Initial meeting to review needs and gather information for proposal

PHASE 2: The Proposal
Verifies project goals, outlines costs, provides a rough schedule, discusses copyright issues, and approval process.

PHASE 3: Contract
Client signs contract and work begins!

PHASE 4: Project Launch Meeting
Meeting to review project goals, schedule and tasks. Gather existing materials for project (ie, fonts, logos, graphics, content).

PHASE 5: Search Engine Optimation & Marketing Research
Review and report on competitor’s Web sites, rankings and keywords
Provide suggested content and keywords to incorporate into site content

PHASE 6: Site Map & Wire Frames
A site map is a flow chart of your web pages, ensuring your site’s content is organized and easy to navigate. Wireframes are skeletons of important pages on your site that outline how users will accomplish the intended task. Site maps and wireframes don’t have any visual elements.

PHASE 7: Photography/Graphics
Photography shot on location (if needed)
Stock photography and/or graphics acquired for the design of the site

PHASE 8: Web Site Design
Design directions provided to the Client in PDF format (home page, secondary page).

PHASE 9: Beta Site

Site design created in XHTML format

Programming of XHTML pages, CSS Style Sheets, Javascript validation and dynamic elements (ie, web forms, database driven pages).

Search Engine Optimization: title tags, meta tags (keyword and page descriptions), alt tags for images.

Testing for browser compatibility.

Beta site uploaded to epiphanymultimedia.com. A link will be provided to the Client for review.

PHASE 10: Final Content
Content finalized

PHASE 11: Usability Testing
An on-line web site usability survey distributed to Beta testers.
Any approved modifications will be made on beta site for review.

PHASE 12: Launch
Web pages uploaded to Web host’s server.

PHASE 13: Training
On-site training provided for site content management.

PHASE 14: Wrap-Up
A detailed web site manual and all artwork provided to Client on disk

PHASE 15: Site Maintenance
Content updates managed by Client or Epiphany Multimedia, Inc.

PHASE 16: Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
Content updates managed by Epiphany Multimedia, Inc.
